How did you get into web design?

It started when i bought a html book in 1997, and in 2001 i was graduated as web & media producer.

Do you remember the very first website you designed?

It was back in 1998 for a car parts company. It's still online and used, but I keep the address to myself.

Describe how your work process usually flows, how do you like to start, what are the key points to consider, etc.?

Coffee is very important and, of course, reading designer magazines and check award sites for inspiration. I always write down everything to paper before starting a software.

Where do you get your art for these webpages?

Most I make by myself using Photoshop, and a good photographer is always good to know.

What will be the next big development in webpage design?

Much more interactivity with 3d and movie clips.

What does 'clean interface' mean to you?

Easy to use and easy to find.

What language do you use for coding? Why?

I use ActionScript, html, xml and sometimes php. These languages is all I need.

Tell us about your use of colors in your designs.

Right now, grayscale + one color. It?s clean and looks great.

You?re a web designer and a creative person - describe the creative process and how you stimulate yourself?

Being in the nature is the best stimulation, and reading magazine, watching TV, and playing a lot of command and conquer.

What are your interests and dislikes in webpage design?

At this moment I?m into minimalistic clean design. Never liked those classic web2.0 layouts ? it?s no design, only information.

What were the mistakes you learned from most while in the web design industry?

In the begining i rushed into project without having writing a manuscript to follow, it ended up in alot of problems and much more work. Today i can spend many days just writing a manuscript before starting a project.

What blogs/magazines/articles would you suggest reading in order to broaden one's knowledge?

- Swedish magazine - Cap&Design

- UK magazine - Web Designer Magazine

And here is some good flashlinks for inspiration and problem solving:

- thefwa.com - A lot of inspiration

- dopeawards.com - A lot of inspiration

- kirupa.com - A good board and a lot of tutorials and examples

- flashkit.com - A good board and a lot of tutorials and examples

What advice would you give to beginning web designers?

- Check award sites for inspiration.

- Read as much design magazines as you can.

- Find some good boards that can help you if you get stuck with a project.

- And always make a manuscript before you starting to produce.
