How did you get into web design?
By chance, I`ve always wanted to build my online portfolio.
Do you remember the very first site you designed?
Actually this is the very first time that I design for the web! Few years ago I had the opportunity to develop an interactive CD with Flash, and that`s when all started!
You are doing a lot of illustrations, is this a specialization for you?
Yes, I studied illustration in Italy at the I.E.D. - Istituto Europeo di Design, and I just love animation!
Where do you get your art for these webpages?
All art is developed by myself.
What will be the next big development in webpage design?
It is amazing how web design improved the last few years thanks to the new enhanced versions of Flash. But I don`t know, maybe more interactivity, more 3D.
Have you ever worked with website templates?
For the moment, no, never.
What do you think about Flash technology?
It`s just amazing what jou can achieve with Flash - from web design to cartoon animation.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Flash?
The advantages are: intuitive interface, fast preview, compatibility with a lot of applications. The disadvantages are: not always accesible to all users or pc, no multiplane camera for the creation of cartoons and absence of a 3D section to create primitives and textures.
What are your sources of inspiration?
I learned a lot from http://www.flashkit.com , it`s my Bible!
What are your favorite website designs that you did and did NOT design yourself?
My favourite webpage is the official site of the 'mother of Harry Potter!' http://www.jkrowling.com/
What was the toughest project or customer situation you?ve encountered?
Every project is a new chance to grow and to improve!
What are your interests and dislikes in webpage design?
My interests in web design are conditioned by the interactivity, interface, and contents of the webpages.
