He has also contributed a lot to the development of Django programing language. And he recently co-authored two books: 'Pro CSS Techniques' and 'Web Standards Creativity'. How many female web designers can you name? Not many I suppose. Computing and web design have been considered male fields by many. And this is not a stereotype. According to the National Science Foundation, the gap between the number of female and male recipients of Bachelor?s and Master's Degrees in Computer Science has grown immensely. Of course, there are many web designers who don't have formal education in design, but still this is an evidence of a disproportion. Therefore, it was my pleasure to interview Amy Greiner ? a creative director and principal of AB Graphic Design, Inc. Amy is a talented web designer and a woman.
