Jeffrey Zeldman is one of the pioneers of the web design industry. He was one of the first web designers, bloggers, independent publishers, and web design teachers. Jeffrey is now the founder and executive creative director of Happy Cog design studio, the publisher of A List Apart magazine, the co-founder of An Even Apart web design conference and the co-founder of The Web Standards Project. He has written many articles and two books, notably the foundational web standards text, Designing With Web Standards, now in its second edition. In addition, Jeffrey writes regularly about web-related issues on his personal website at zeldman.com, that he's been keeping fresh and enlightening since 1995.
