About this project

Design Interviews is a resource on Web Design and Internet featuring interviews with professional web designers. DI is written in order to give our readers a feel for the professional lives of web designers and tips to advance their web design knowledge and skills.

Design Interviews has branched out from Web Templates Blog. Web Templates Blog has been out there since February, 2005, providing daily news and reviews on web templates industry. It happened to be of an interest of an investor Arthur Browning who bought it in the June of 2006.

In addition to posting article entries written by him and webpage template users, Arthur started Designer Interviews category, which was aimed to give new designers and do-it-yourself amateurs a chance to learn from professional web designers’ rich experiences. Full of good answers, the interviews started to appear once a week. Soon Arthur realized that the problems web designers encounter and solutions they generate told from their own experience could be the real subject matter and content of a new blog. So, he began Design Interviews in the March of 2007.

Design Interviews is dedicated to interviewing website designers with interesting portfolios and usable web development savvy. The blog is currently featuring around a 100 individual interviews including Web-wide known names. Design Interviews also practices express-interviews where a few designers share their professional opinions on certain web-related issue.

All the interviews are conducted though email to keep everyone honest and the material trustworthy. Feel free to contact us if you know a cool web designer you’d like to see interviewed, or if you have any interesting suggestions and proposals.
